Body:
Armature is wire with aluminum foil with some Apoxie Sculpt. Body is made of Original Sculpey.
Paints:
Airbrush
Tamiya color white/Dark gray 70/30 - 85/15 (body - highlight)
Tamiya color white (cutie mark)

Brush
Tamiya color pink (mouth)
Vallejo yellow-black-white (eye)
Vallejo white/yellow 50/50 (hair)

Everything sealed with Tamiya color semi-gloss clear.

This project is the most problem I encountered when painting. Having only 3 almost straight line standing points were already hard, and holding it was a PAIN to paint. Tamiya color IS NOT GOOD FOR PAINTING WITH BRUSH AT ALL... so I went and bought a 75 color Vallejo case. Worse part is that I have to repaint it (around 4 or 5?) because there is no where to hold the figure, tried to think of having a big rod around the base of the leg, didnt happen because the sculpture was kinda heavy, abandon the idea because of cracks. So having to check for fingerprints every single time I finish painting, even at one point just abandon the whole idea of painting it... and the eyes, that was nightmare, before I started having to paint the eye, is just soo scary, and starting to have a shaky hand, because of first time trying to paint an eye (the heart just kept pumping...), didnt believe it turned ok, was expecting the worse. So yeah, This is hard...

My favourite bits are the wings and the legs.
Wings becuase they just look so good.
Legs because I always founds Digigrade legs to be somewhat of a facination of mine.
Also because I, for some reason find digigrade legs to be slightly smexy. :P Go figure.

Thanks, it was hard to make the legs and wing because needed to at least balance the body so it can stand, and the wings is just so weak, but turned out pretty good. I'm glad you like it.

Looks great and don't worry about not having the tiny Derpy because it is VERY difficult to make them look good when they are that small. The only pony sculptor on deviantart that I think could make it look right is :icongithgulcag: and he doesn't make many ponies.

That is SO SMALL, I guess I dont feel bad anymore, was actually going to make one out when I have time, but its just impossible, too small for my clumsy hands... And thanks, That is Kinda of a relief. :squee:

Yeah..his tiny one's are unbelievable but he spends an incredible amount of time on them and all of his are miniatures so he gets practice at them. my hands are far too clumsy as well. I have tried but when they get down to the 1 inch or smaller size I just can't get any real detail and they don't look right no matter what i do!

Well, I know for sure that I wont be doing miniatures, in the future maybe, but now, no way, that is just too crazy. Doesn't seem like he is active this year, I would want to see more of his work.

To be honest, I don't know how active he is. I know he signs on often and he was on yesterday but he has never replied to any of the comments I have made on his work...I guess I'm not worthy.
